Bioengineering Day 2010, Organizing Committee
gradcracker is involving and sponsoring!!
We would be delightful to tell you that gradcracker has become our sponsor.
Gradcracker is the career site for engineering student.
It was developed and launched in October 2007 by a team of experienced engineering graduate recruiters who saw a need for a specialist careers site for engineering students.
Gradcracker is now widely acknowledged to be ‘the careers website for engineering students’ and is the number one graduate recruitment vehicle for most of the UK’s leading engineering employers.
For Students, whether your are looking for a work placement during University, a graduate programme when you have finished or post graduate degree course, you will find it here.
There are all the latest news on the website. Want to know more?
Programme of Bday 2010
Bioengineering Day 2010 – Potential. Realised.
Bioengineering Day is a joint event run by Imperial College London and the University of Oxford. With the long term aim of creating understanding, enthusiasm and respect for Bioengineering within UK, this event will bring together academia, industry and business for an afternoon of exchanging ideas and discovering opportunities. For this reason, this year’s theme is “Potential. Realised.”.
For you, as a corporate representative, we hope that by the end of Bioengineering Day 2010 you will be able to recognise some traits of Bioengineering which you may not have been aware of before. By attending, you will also meet some of the most motivated and creative engineering students in the UK today and perhaps even bring away some beneficial ideas for your business.

Imperial-Oxford Exchange Daytrip Program (Oxford)
Shout-Out for Bioengineers! that’s what the team aspires to do.
Here at Institute of Biomedical Engineering in Oxford, we gather to officially spark- off this collaboration between the Imperial College Union Bioengineering Society and Oxford Biomedical Engineering Society. The team hopes that Bioengineering Day will not just be an once-off event, but grow into a sustained long term student-led campaign towards recognition of bioengineering in UK.
For three hours, we discussed intensively about how should Bioengineering Day 2010 be ran. It was really exciting to hear the different ideas bounce off each other and definitely very inspirational to see how much passion the team had towards our common cause. So Bioengineers: GEAR-UP and BEHOLD for Bioengineering Day 2010!
The meeting was chaired by BD-chair, An Jingzhi, from Imperial College and attended by most of the organising committee formed between bioengineering students from Imperial College and University of Oxford.

The Organizing Committee
The process of “making” Bioengineering Day 2010 is not one man’s job, and it will not be. The formation of the team will have great influence on the success of the event. That’s why we need a committee, who will contribute and make this happen.
“Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean.”
It started with a presentation by our BD Chair, An Jingzhi, which it did not only show the concept of BD, but also ignited the passion within us as an bioengineer (believe it or not!!). Then a bunch of enthusiastic bioengineers (just like me) has decided to jump in and have a ride. The ticket to get on is just some paper work……
Then we are all set.
Here comes the committee!! (Woo-hoo!!)
